Germany’s Jens Buchert has been a prolific contributor to Electronic music for over twenty years now under his own name and other monikers (Noah, Dakini Mandarava, just to name a few).
Jens’ work has been at the heart of the underground lounge and trip-hop scene for much of the 2000’s due to his extensive (and respectable) catalogue. Never settling for one particular style, Jens has been able to assure his fans that each release is expansive, mercurial, and masterfully crafted. Germany’s Uwe Zahn (aka Arovane) has been experimenting with sounds since the late-seventies and has been noted as a fairly influential contributor to the German Industrial and IDM (Intelligent Dance Music) scene. He has been one of my favorite producers and i’ve been a fan since I initially got into production years ago. I still regularly listen to tracks like “Torn”. Much of his work is infused with digital pops, clicks, eerie but spacious synths, and other interesting “metallic” sounds. While the majority of his work is stellar (which is why he has become a legend of sorts in the IDM scene) his two releases “Tides” and “Lilies” are absolutely gorgeous.
