There isn't much that I can say about Aural Imbalance that hasn't been said already. Simply put, the man is genius. Tracks from his earlier days such as 4th Dimension and Realm of Innocence played a tremendous role in developing my tastes during my rookie days as a drum & bass fan.

England's Matt Cutler has infected the musical strata with his varied and intricate productions. After receiving critical success for his first album "Lemurian" ( a love-letter to the old school boom-bap Hip Hop patterns of old infused with his own personal flare), Matt has solidified himself as a methodical, but unpredictable musician; Two traits that have helped him elevate above many of his peers in an ever growing sea of electronic releases.

England's Toby George Martin (or T.G.M) is quickly making a name for himself in the underground Drum & Bass circuit by way of his stellar productions. Layered pads coupled with heavy breaks and gritty bass round out the sound of the Bournemouth product.

Interview With Drum n Bass Producer, The Drumkilla.

Interview With Drum n Bass Producer, The Drumkilla.

About a month ago I discovered the fantastic music of Russia’s Kirill Koloshnitsyn (aka The Drumkilla) after browsing through Omni Music’s Bandcamp page. Anyone that knows me, knows that I am a huge Atmospheric Drum N Bass head. I absolutely adore it and much of the LTJ Bukem era stuff has had a big impact on my own musical tastes and productions. To me, it represents the perfect blend of chill but intrusive (and mostly danceable) beats for enjoying and potentially droning out to. After hearing The Drumkilla’s track “Planets Around” I decided that it would be a perfect track to use as the introduction theme for my Youtube channel (which will be coming as soon as I finish the damn thing. Adobe After Effects is unforgiving as hell) so I contacted him and he was more than happy to allow me to use it. Some time later, I contacted him again and asked if he would be interested in doing an interview for the site, and thankfully, I received the same response!
